Registration is complete once Revolution Dance has received your non-refundable first month's tuition and registration fee.
Tuition is based on 34 classes per season and is divided into 10 equal monthly payments, running from September to June. This makes budgeting simple and consistent for families, regardless of how many classes fall in a given month. Charges are applied automatically on the 1st of each month.
Payment Options:
All major credit cards accepted
Pre-authorized bank withdrawal
Payment method can be updated anytime through the Parent Portal
Late Payments & NSF Fees:
A $30 late fee applies to accounts more than 15 days overdue
Returned/NSF payments will incur a $30 fee per transaction
After two NSF payments, all remaining fees must be paid by credit card, money order, or certified cheque
NSF fees must be resolved immediately, or the dancer may not continue in class
Additional Information:
You can log in to your Parent Portal anytime to view or print monthly statements
There are no refunds for missed classes
If a class is cancelled by the studio, it will be rescheduled
In the event of a government-mandated lockdown, classes will continue live online via Google Meet, and regular tuition rates will still apply
All communication is sent directly to your email — this keeps things simple, easy, and convenient for busy families.
Please double-check that the studio has your most current email address. If you ever need to update it, just send a message to info@RevolutionDanceCalgary.com or stop by the office.
Be sure to check your inbox / junk / spam folders for the monthly newsletter, sent on the 1st of each month. It includes important updates, reminders, and helpful info to keep your dance season running smoothly.
Tip: Please do not unsubscribe from studio emails — this is how you'll receive all essential information throughout the year.
Where Can I Find the Studio Calendar?
You can find the full Studio Calendar under the My Dance Experience tab. This makes it easy to stay organized and plan ahead for your child’s dance year.
Classes run from September through June.
For your convenience, the studio is closed on all long weekends, as well as:
Two weeks at Christmas and One week at the end of March (aligned with the Calgary Board of Education Calendar). Competition Dancers will have classes during Spring Break
Everything is designed to keep your schedule as simple and predictable as possible throughout the season.
How Do I Withdraw My Dancer from Classes?
If you ever need to withdraw your child from Revolution Dance, just provide one month’s written notice to the Studio Email [email protected], submitted on the 1st of the month.
Tuition payments will continue for one full month after notice is given, and then your automatic payments will be stopped. Please note, fees are not refunded for partial months. Costume and Competition Fees are non refundable for any reason.
Your dancer is absolutely welcome to continue attending classes during the cancellation period.
To support a smooth and positive experience for every dancer during recital season, withdrawals are not accepted after March 1st, as this is when performance preparations are underway.
For questions or to start the process, simply email info@RevolutionDanceCalgary.com
Costumes are part of the magic of performance — and every dancer will have one ready for the stage.
For Competitive routines, new costumes are ordered with a $100 deposit due November 15 and the remaining balance due in April.
For Recreational dancers, there’s a $60 costume rental fee charged in April, which covers both the Winter Recital and Year-End Recital costumes. Costumes must be returned to the studio within one week of each recital. Unreturned or damaged costumes will incur a $150 replacement fee per costume.
Everything is planned with care to make things simple, easy, and convenient for your family while ensuring every dancer looks and feels their best on stage.
Can I Watch My Child’s Dance Class?
Classes are held with doors closed to protect each dancer’s privacy and help maintain a focused, comfortable environment for all students.
It can be very distracting for both dancers and teachers when there’s activity or noise in the lobby, so parents are not permitted inside the dance studios during regular class time.
That said, there are special parent viewing days throughout the season, where families are warmly invited into the studio to cheer on their dancer and see their progress. These moments are always a highlight and give dancers a chance to shine in front of a supportive audience.
To help every dancer feel confident and ready, hair must be pulled back and securely tied for all classes.
Each style of dance has its own dress code — including specific footwear, tights, and class attire. Please make sure your dancer arrives dressed appropriately for their class as outlined in the Studio Dress Code.
When everyone comes prepared, it helps the class run smoothly and keeps the focus on fun, movement, and learning.
What Happens If My Dancer Misses a Class?
If your child will be away, please send a quick email to the studio before class to let us know.
Attendance is taken at the start of each class and tracked throughout the year.
Regular attendance is essential — not just for your child’s progress, but for the success of the entire class. Dance builds week by week, and being present helps your dancer stay confident, connected, and prepared for upcoming performances.
For competitive dancers, attendance expectations are a little higher to support team consistency. Only 3 absences per subject are permitted throughout the season.
Frequent absences or tardiness can impact the group and may result in your dancer being asked to step back from recital or competition performances. If attendance becomes a concern, the studio will reach out directly via email.
Everything is designed to support your dancer’s growth and help them feel proud of their progress each week.
All registered dancers—from the youngest to the most experienced—participate in both the Winter Recital and Year-End Recital.
For details, visit the FAQ sections on our Winter Hub and Year-End Hub pages under My Dance Experience.
To keep the studio safe, welcoming, and running smoothly, please review the following:
* Students must wait inside the building to be picked up.
* No student may leave the building without an adult.
* All students should use the restroom before class begins.
* Keep the lobby quiet and clean for everyone’s comfort.
* Store belongings on the shelves and hangers in the back hallway. The front lobby is for shoes and waiting parents only.
* Please do not interrupt a class in progress. Speak to the teacher before or after class if needed.
* No running or tapping on lobby floors.
* Please prevent children from banging on the glass door.
* The studio is not responsible for unsupervised children.
To keep classes safe, focused, and enjoyable for all dancers, please follow these guidelines:
* No food or drinks (except water) are allowed in the studios. Keep snacks and drinks in the lobby.
* No gum in the dance studios.
* No street shoes past the lobby—this applies to students, parents, and guests.
* Dance shoes should never be worn outside.
* All students must follow the proper dress code, including appropriate dance shoes.
* Parents are not permitted to enter the dance room. Teachers will greet dancers at the door and escort them back to the lobby after class.
* Doors will remain closed during class to minimize distractions.
* Arrive 5–10 minutes early so dancers are ready to start on time.
* Children should not touch mirrors or windows.
We encourage every student to take personal responsibility for their actions. While we consider each child’s age, it’s important that all students follow the rules to help create a positive and focused class environment.
If behavior begins to disrupt the class, the following steps may be taken:
No Sticker Reward – For younger dancers, a sticker is given at the end of class to those who listened to the teacher and danced when instructed. Disruptive behavior may result in no sticker for that class.
Parent Consultation – The director may invite the parent(s) for a conference to discuss the concern. The issue will be documented, goals will be set, and parents will help create strategies for improvement.
Our goal is always to work together—with respect and care—to help every dancer succeed.
