To make recital day a great experience for everyone in the audience, here are a few simple etiquette guidelines to keep in mind:
🎟 Everyone Needs a Ticket
Parents, grandparents, toddlers, and friends—everyone attending the recital must have a ticket. Seating is limited, and children are welcome as long as they can remain seated during the show. If you think your little one may struggle to sit through the performance, it may be best for them to stay home this time.
📵 Silence All Devices
Please silence or turn off all phones, tablets, and electronics before the show begins. Even checking your screen can create a bright light that's distracting to the audience—and to the dancers on stage.
🚪 No In-and-Out During the Show
Our recital moves quickly from one dance to the next, and we ask that you remain seated throughout the performance. If you do need to leave due to an emergency or a fussy child, please exit quietly and discreetly.
📸 No Video or Photography
To protect both copyright and dancer safety, personal photos or video recordings are not allowed during the show. A professional videographer will capture the entire performance for you—just be sure to place your order when buying recital tickets.
🎭 Stay for Curtain Call
The show ends after curtain call—when all dancers return to the stage for a final bow. Please remain seated until the performance is completely finished and the house lights come up. This shows respect and appreciation to every performer.
🚫 No Backstage Access
Only dancers, staff, and approved volunteers are allowed backstage. Dancers will be safely released after curtain call—not during intermission or at any other time. Rest assured, plenty of staff will be backstage supporting your dancer the entire time.
👏 Enjoy the Show!
